Michael Rice is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer whose dive journey began right here in St.
Croix back in 1993 with a Discover Scuba experience that changed everything. What started as a simple curiosity turned into a lifelong passion for the ocean and a calling to share that magic with others. As co-owner of Blue Salt Divers, Michael brings over three decades of experience, heart, and humor to every dive. He loves helping people push past their fears, find their confidence, and fall in love with the underwater world—whether it's someone’s very first breath underwater or their hundredth dive. Michael is also the heartbeat behind the Blue Salt Dive Tribe, a growing global community of ocean lovers, adventurers, and kindred spirits. He leads international dive travel, teaches specialty courses, and finds joy in the simple moments—laughing on the boat, spotting something rare, or watching a new diver light up with wonder. To Michael, diving isn’t just a sport—it’s a lifestyle, a source of healing, and a reminder of the beautiful, fragile world waiting just below the surface.
